Biden Visits Southern Border Amid Criticism From Both Occasions

Democrats decry president’s exercise of Trump-technology policies, while Republicans state he hasn’t finished sufficient to stem illegal crossings
WASHINGTON—President Biden made his first time out to the U.S.-Mexico border since taking space of job, visiting a port of entry and a heart for migrants as his immigration protection faces criticism from both parties.
Mr. Biden arrived Sunday afternoon in El Paso, Texas, which in December saw a surge of mostly Nicaraguan migrants. He stopped there on his solution to Mexico City, where he’ll meet Monday and Tuesday with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Canadian High Minister Justin Trudeau for the North American Leaders’ Summit.
