Big seizure uncovers nearly €1.5m rate of unlawful tablets, money and guns
A giant bust by gardai has uncovered nearly €1m rate of substances, nearly €500okay in money and three guns.
A man in his early 40s has been arrested with regards to the foremost seizure that found MDMA, cocaine, cannabis, unlawful money and a series of handguns.
Around 11am on Tuesday, as fragment of an intelligence led operation, gardaí associated to the Meath Divisional Pills Unit finished a search operation at a commercial premises at Rathfeigh, Co Meath.
All the intention thru the course of the quest, roughly €570,000 of MDMA tablets, €156,000 of MDMA powder, roughly €140,800 of cocaine, €80,000 of cannabis herb and 6,000 suspected Xanax tablets with an estimated rate of €12,000, had been seized by gardaí.
In total, the suspected tablets seized agree with an estimated rate of €958,800 (pending prognosis).
Money to the rate of €489,120 became also seized.
A Glock 9mm semi-computerized handgun, two Walter 9mm handguns, two silencers, and 75 rounds of 9mm Luger and Fiocci ammunition had been also taken.
A garda spokesman stated: “A man in his early 40s became arrested at the scene.
“This man is at the moment detained at Ashbourne Garda Location below the provisions of Fragment 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
