Huge seizure uncovers almost €1.5m worth of illegal medication, money and guns
A huge bust by gardai has uncovered almost €1m worth of gear, almost €500ok in money and three guns.
A man in his early 40s has been arrested in relation to the predominant seizure that stumbled on MDMA, cocaine, cannabis, illegal money and a preference of handguns.
Around 11am on Tuesday, as share of an intelligence led operation, gardaí connected to the Meath Divisional Capsules Unit conducted a search operation at a swap premises at Rathfeigh, Co Meath.
At some stage for the length of the hunt, roughly €570,000 of MDMA tablets, €156,000 of MDMA powder, roughly €140,800 of cocaine, €80,000 of cannabis herb and 6,000 suspected Xanax tablets with an estimated fee of €12,000, had been seized by gardaí.
In total, the suspected medication seized maintain an estimated fee of €958,800 (pending prognosis).
Cash to the fee of €489,120 became as soon as also seized.
A Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun, two Walter 9mm handguns, two silencers, and 75 rounds of 9mm Luger and Fiocci ammunition had been also taken.
A garda spokesman talked about: “A man in his early 40s became as soon as arrested on the scene.
“This man is currently detained at Ashbourne Garda Build under the provisions of Fragment 2 of the Prison Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
