Rs 110 crore scam in PM-Kisan Nidhi plot busted in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Agriculture Secretary Gagandeep Singh Bedi on Tuesday said that some 500,000 unfounded beneficiaries have got Rs 110 crore from the PM-Kisan Nidhi plot. The Division has recovered around Rs 32 crore up to now and the the rest will be recovered quickly.
Talking to newshounds he said, 34 authorities officials were suspended and 80 computer operators and other non-public workers pushed aside. As per the probe conducted by the department ineligible persons in 13 districts have availed the money help providing false recordsdata.
Crime Division-Crime Investigation Division (CBCID) is probing the scam. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami on Monday said action is being taken in opposition to these pondering about the scandal.
“The Govt is zero tolerant about the misuse of the Govt plot (PM-Kisan Nidhi) and all these accountable for this irregularity will be punished; the total quantity will be recovered from ineligible beneficiaries quickly,” he said.

Under the PM-Kisan Blueprint small farmers with two hectare or less land are given Rs 6,000 a year as help in three equal instalments.
He said the authorities will gaze to it that not one valid farmer might perchance be affected and that the scam quantity will be recovered by the authorities by freezing the bank accounts of fraudsters.
Bedi said the authorities will enhance the total scam quantity in a month’s time and the scamsters will be arrested and action will be taken in opposition to them.
