A private perfect practitioner, David Ofosu-Dorte, is advocating legislation that can perchance perhaps restrict taxes imposed on citizens by the authorities.

Turning in a public lecture titled “The 1992 Constitution: A Basic Regulations for our prosperity or a properly-crafted facts for our financial doom” Mr Ofosu-Dorte talked about Ghana’s taxation system piles more power on already overburdened tax payers that can stifle private companies.

He talked about limiting the authorities from introducing more taxes would also stop the authorities from recklessly spending and restrict its appetite for borrowing.

“There must be an upper restrict the set the authorities can no longer tax more…otherwise they’re going to continue to bear better their expenditure and they’re going to hump on the expenditure. Also, we need to restrict the authorities’s skill to borrow,” Mr Ofosu-Dorte who is also the Executive Chairman at AB & David Regulations talked about.

He also urged that voter ID cards of citizens must be converted into monetary institution accounts to help lower the unbanked inhabitants within the country.
